A recent white paper authored by Blue Forest on behalf of a group of innovative utilities introduces a partnership-based model for wildfire risk mitigation that positions utilities as catalysts in a public-private ecosystem of resilience. The paper explores how utilities can expand their role beyond traditional right-of-way (ROW) wildfire mitigation efforts to engage in programs and partnerships that deliver mutual benefits for infrastructure, customers, communities, and the forests they depend on.
The Forests Plus community was joined by various policy and partnership experts for a webinar on how their collaborations fit into the larger conversation around wildfire and forest health, and how innovative partnerships are transforming landscapes across the western United States.
